Artist Statement Born 1947 in San Francisco. Artist, world traveler and finally retired from the day job and back to being a full-time photographer.

I understand and admire the discipline of photography purists who say that what you capture in the field or studio must be what you print. However, having started out as an oil painter and then spending long hours in the darkroom, for me the final image is the point no matter how I got there.

I now use Photoshop and various other software as my brush and medium to create my digital art. All images in my work come from my photographs or my own digital creations. (Well, except small pieces of outer space that come from royalty-free NASA photos.) Some of my photographs are as they were shot, some have been run through Photoshop to various degrees. All represent my vision of the world.
