Description Forgotten Beach, is a secluded beach on the north east point of Eleuthera. The sands here are deep and powdery, with brilliant pink and copper tones. The waters are shallow and blue. Here the Caribbean sea meets the Atlantic. As in many places on the island of Eleuthera, very few people walk these shores. if you find this place, you'll most likely have it all to yourself.
John French, Dallas tx. Member Since November 2009 Artist Statement I began drawing at an early age. My favorite mediums have always been charcoal, pastels and oil painting. I naturally gravitated towards cabinet making as a profession; craftsmanship has always been a good out let for my creative mind. I have an extensive back ground in 3D modeling and along with my photography; I’ve incorporated these two mediums into my art. I hope you find it thought provoking and relaxing.
PostersArtWorks.com is a newly formed company; created out of the need from one man to show creative expression. This one man is John French. John grew up mainly in West Texas, where there was not much there in terms of landscape beauty. Instead, despite the lack of the catalyst for a budding artist, there grew a restless young man, trapped inside himself; yearning to get out.
John’s young Mom, sensing his future doom if he did not harness this trapped energy, set out daily with a plan. She set him down with pencil or pastels and paper. His practice trained his eye to pick up beauty where it was or was not. In no time John had sketches of scenes duplicated from works in art books. His talent did not stop the doom John’s Mom feared for him in his academic school life. John continued to fidget and become restless all day in school. The only solution, his teachers thought, was to leave him be; at the back of the room to sketch and draw…today John goes beyond the 2D sketching and drawing and uses a3D application, as well, for his artwork.
When I, Charisse French, met John at first, of course we were not married yet. I knew there was something special about this guy. Over the next twenty plus years that followed, we journeyed through and beyond the world of 2D to 3D back into 2D and then into the world of Digital Imaging. This world of Digital Imaging totally magnifies John’s skills while drawing and sketching and transfers what he does with his hands to what he captures in the camera lens. It may be a spooky thing to some, but now that restless, at the back of the room guy is now behind a Digital Camera and giving us a “front of the room” view of the most beautiful scenes around. We want to share them with you, and more.
Together, John and I make up the PostersArtWorks.com team. We tirelessly seek to provide the most beautiful images that our paying public would want to buy. Come check us out.
