Though they were married and shared political ideals their art could not be more different. Rivera painted great murals about history and society. Frida created small intimate paintings about her inner world. The collection was inspired by the ASIAN concept of 'YIn Yang', which describes how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. Opposites thus only exist in relation to each other
