Artist Statement Hello! I am a self-taught artist currently living in Wisconsin. I have always found creative ways to express myself but only recently by way of the visual form. During the later months of 2004 I began experiencing a repeating longing to feel a brush moving through paint. But I had no idea what to paint. It was not until the late spring of 2005 that I gave into this nudge and bought my first set of oils. Later that year, because of space and time, I started working in pastels as well as pen & ink. Currently I am exploring Acrylics.

My inspiration often comes from images that present themselves at random in my mind's eye. Usually I am doing something very ordinary like washing my hair, doing the dishes or driving to my studio and suddenly I have an image in my head that seems to come to me from some other world. At other times, I find myself needing to express emotions and experiences that words simply could not fully encompass.
