Description Orbiting a star on the outskirts of a globular cluster, a young rocky planet experiences a volcanic outburst while in the background the parent galaxy hangs serenely.
Daniel Berke, Hilo Member Since September 2011 Artist Statement I am a student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo going for a degree in both Physics and Astronomy. I have no formal artistic training and am entirely self-taught, and it probably shows. I make this art because I'm inspired by the indescribable beauty of the universe we inhabit. These pictures are my attempt to realize the visions I have of various settings or places. I'm not a stickler for scientific accuracy, but everything I make is based upon or inspired by something from real life.
