Artist Statement It wasn’t until I was 48 in 2000 that I was moved to start painting again to avoid the empty nest syndrome. As a teenager I had developed a style after my favorites- Vincent Van Gogh and Jasper Johns. My husband Scott and I were almost done
raising our 3 children (Lori, Ian & Debra). Commissioned by friends and coworkers I painted a lighthouse, sunflower, a cowboy at sunset, A friend's 60th birthday, a statue of Liberty etc I especially liked anything that was patriotic. If you want me to paint you something let me know by email ok? I'm joyce_macphee@hotmail.com
Thanks so much for your interest!
