no day passes without words erupting sputtering volcanic ash of halfformed visions needing to escape into the oxygen of daylight pen scratching almost illegibly across paper for my hand can no way match the lightning in my brain every day the journal fills much of it dross some of it workable occasionally a flash of inspiration i keep it all even the junk for who knows when a bit of scribble unusable in form spewed forth might birth a thought worth living? why is it you write everyday you wonder cannot you take a break let go the quill and play? i cannot answer but to say this is my life my daily bread writing is what writers do 2014 RC deWinter
February 26, 2013: An amazing thing happened today - I have been announced as one of the five finalists for a Shorty Award in Art. The Shorty Awards are given to the producers of the best of online social media in a variety of categories and I am honored to be in the running.
