Description Everything looks clean and delicate on a day like this. When the temperature falls below freezing point, it's hard to get up from the couch and get outdoors, but who can miss a lovely sight like this? I didn't have my skies on, so I had to wade in the deep snow to get to this spot. I wasn't the first one. I could see deep footprints in the snow before me. I'm sure I wasn't the only photographer to capture this amazing winter day! But this image is mine, the way I saw it with the cold bench that nobody would sit on as it was covered with ice. I considered sitting down for a moment, but I got too busy with my shooting. Every straw, every line in the snow and every ice formation called for my attention. I didn't realize that my feet were cold and my fingers numb, before I was back inside. Only then was my attention back to normal.
Randi Grace Nilsberg, Horten Member Since July 2014 Artist Statement I’m a fine art photographer who creates photo art with a painterly effect for nature lovers and dreamers who want affordable art in their home.
I like to experiment with different techniques and styles from soft and subtle colors to the brightness of the entire rainbow. Everything I do starts with a photo of something that caught my eye through its light and shadows, textures and colors. Digital textures often intensify the beauty. I hope my art lets the viewer drift away for a moment.
