Artist Statement Ever since I was a small child, I've always loved travel. Growing up I wrote on the high school paper, then after high school and several years bouncing around Washington, Alaska, Hawaii and California, I went to college to pursue a degree in journalism. I dreamed of being a travel writer but one thing led to another and I ended up teaching myself web design back in 1995. From there I migrated to network administration and after a little over thirteen years in the field of information technology, I threw in the proverbial towel and embarked on the travel adventure of my life. I did not go it alone though. My companion and co-pilot was a one and a half year old AmStaff named Nota (A.K.A. Notita De Musica).

It ended up taking us much longer than expected and further than I had ever planed. Which just goes to show you that both plans and expectations have little, if any at all, to do with ones journey through life.

These photos were taken between May 1st, 2009 through Feb. 14th, 2010 during our nine and a half month journey which took us from Oregon though Mexico and Central America, finally ending in Panama.
