Artist Statement Mai Harris is a professional artist working in the Middle TN Area. In 2008 she received a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts from Watkins College of Art & Design. In 2010 she became the visual arts director for Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities (YEAH) and founded the Murfreesboro Artists Resource Collective, now known as Art Life. She taught many private and group art classes, including workshops for Linebaugh Library's summer programming and the Express Yourself Conference. Her work has been shown in galleries, bars, and other local businesses in Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN. Recently she has also built a reputation painting live at music shows in places such as The Boro Bar and Grill, 3 Brothers Deli, and Bluesboro.
