Description I am often accused of living in a fantasy world. I must confess, indeed i do my imagination was what saved me as a child. I created my own dreamy universe, to survive. A space where i was safe and free from the abuse of my childhood. In one sense i was forced to grow up way too fast, and in another, i clung to certain aspects of a childhood i never had.
As an adult and artist, i probably love my imagination too much, even though it serves me well. I do live in a kind of blinded reality, hence the title of this self portrait.
About Me: I am a self-taught photographic artist. My art explores my internal landscapes, like... survivor issues, spirituality and sensuality. Much of my work is comprised of self-portraits. My intent with my creations is to be one of the connecting threads in the universal fabric we share. A detailed biography and resume can be viewed here: https://www.behance.net/jaedadewalt/resume
