anathema
they call me the queen of the midwinter heavens i am no queen not even a pretender to this throne the crown doesn't fit and it's far too heavy i pawned the scepter for a quill and ink and threw the orb out the window most likely sending some trashman into paroxysms of orgasmic delight
diplomacy and protocol have never been my strong suits and sharing the sky with so many other queens was a royal pain in the ass (confidentially the queen of midsummer is a bitch on wheels so full of herself i used to call her her blondeness behind her back)
besides there are no kings i have no desire to be a virgin queen and princes! well they're nothing but spoiled brats jaded wastrels whiling away the time between now and the throne that isn't coming by overindulging in many of the more loathsome of the seven deadly sins
nope i have no desire to be a queen i am meant for plain living and high thinking and the earthy grime of the battles of the everyday in blue jeans with no crown to slow me down you may adore me (if you wish) but only as a lover not some cold sovereign goddess
all the hail the empty throne and the chaos in the cosmos as the february stars whirl off their courses as i sit below and laugh in my unlovely hovel ringing bell reading book burning candle having fashioned my own handbasket in which to go to hell ~ copyright 2014 RC deWinter
