Artist Statement For as long as I can remember, there's always been a camera around our house. From the box camera in the 50's, to the Kodak Instamatic in the 60's, to the Polaroid, to my first SLR in the 70's.
I started to get serious about picture taking around the mid 60's when I went to my first drag racing meet. I use to take my dad's instamatic, using slide film, and try to get stop action shots. In the 70's I started taking pictures at concerts, back in the day when you could do that. Getting the shots with just the concert lighting was a little tricky, but I learn and had a lot of fun. Alice Cooper, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Styx, and many more. Over the next couple of decades, I took pictures but really didn't take it serious until about three years ago when I bought my first Digital SLR. Since then I have taken 2 and 3 day trips just to take pictures. From the Black Hills, to Moab Utah, the Oregon coast, and to Washington State were I fell in love with lighthouses. I love the outdoors, living in Colorado again, I will spend a lot of time in the mountains, down to the sand dunes, and everwhere in between.
So what you will see here is what I see "through my eyes" and the lens of my camera. I do hope you enjoy what you see here.
Thanks for taking the time to stop and look.

ON NOVEMBER 25TH, 2008, I WAS A FEATURED ARTIST HERE ON IMAGEKIND, SOMETHING THAT WAS QUITE AN HONOR FOR ME AND VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Update: 6/19/2023 it's been years since I really took a look at my account here. For the past 9 years, I have been a concert photographer but also still enjoy landscape as well. I will start working on portfolio again to get it updated. There is a link to my FB page of my concert photography here. More to come.
