Description Live life like a tree that grows perfectly originally, totally oblivious to the idea of an ideal tree. One of my favorite quotes, it jumped out at me from a magazine article and I regret that I do not know the author. It applies to many aspects of life, love, faith, and friendship.
Sarah Geesey, San Antonio Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement I was born to create - to “let it out”, as I heard a friend say recently. My artistic journey started from the time a pencil fit in my hand. My family and friends have always encouraged my creative design sense and eye for symbolic meaning, and have prodded me toward sharing my work.
I’ve traveled the world and have seen many inspiring things. And everyday is filled with colors, shapes, light...little pleasures I wind up pondering longer than others might. I have to say, though, that I find the most beauty and wonder in people...”deep down inside where we live”. Quirky imperfections that only show in true authenticity are what I cherish.
I took art classes at Bethel College in MN in the 90s and have been exploring my own style for years. I’ve been working consistently since 2003, creating personalized paintings for a variety of private collectors.
I have been married for 16 years to the man of my dreams and we have three sons.
