Description This is Robin Olmstead's beautiful Miniature Horse Stallion, Pooka. Would like to Thank her for the use of her photos, so I could try to do a painting of him. This piece was done, with water based Oils on Hot pressed paper. Is the first time I tried this and it was a challenge. Not sure I am going to try it again but time will tell.It turned out more in the style of Folk Art, as this piece seemed to have a mind of its own.

My work explores the relationship between Trompe l'oeil and surreal Abstracts. With influences as diverse as Leonardo da Vinci and Buckminster Fuller, new variations are generated from both explicit and implicit dialogues.
Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of all Art.
What starts out as vision soon becomes contemporaneously into a hegemony of wild abandonment, leaving only a sense of peace or chaos with the stroke of a pen and with the likelihood of a new reality.
As wavering derivatives become clarified or distorted through diligent and critical practice, depending on my mood, the viewer is left with a new agenda of dream like thoughts or questions of our condition.
Art should always be fun and experimental.
