Artist Statement My brand of photo-art evolved slowly over the past 44 years. I took my first photography course in 1966, and I continue to train with nationally renowned photographer, James Schot.

My approach is to create layers of imagery using photo-editing techniques and to then merge those layers. When successful, the technique yields an art piece with an ethereal quality, easily recognized by the look of surprise, a gasp, or, perhaps, a look of bewilderment in the eyes of the viewer.

In recent months I have become enamored of floral design. Printed on silk, the images take on a unique texture and sheen. When watercolor effects are added and blended effectively, the work creates a chord of experience: harmony, beauty, and elegance.
