Description The railway viaduct at Waterside in Stapenhill, Staffordshire, England. The viaduct spans the River Trent and the Trent Washlands, and carries the now, little used, Burton to Leicester rail lines. The viaduct and river, form a county boundary, so the river bank with the darker trees in the upper right of the photo, is in Derbyshire and the rest of the scene is in Staffordshire.

Hi, my name is Rod and I live in Burton upon Trent, United Kingdom, a town which is known internationally as the capital of British brewing.
Photography has been my passion and main interest since my parents gave me a Kodak Brownie 127 for my 8th birthday. I still have the Brownie and I still have the 1920s Praktica which I bought second-hand a few years later, as my first 35mm SLR. I have covered most aspects of photography, but my preference is for landscape, nature and architectural photography. I am also keen on night shots and I enjoy snorkelling and underwater photography.
I love to travel, and I always have a camera with me where ever I go, ready to capture the unexpected as well as the planned shots. I try to use as little editing as possible with my digital work and I limit this to cropping and the occasional colour correction.
Well, thank you for visiting. Please browse through some of my pictures, and I hope that you find something of interest.
