Artist Statement Leon Sarantos graduated from the College of Arts and Architecture at the University of Michigan. Mr. Sarantos is an architect, as well as an artist, and is the self-employed owner of Techteam. He has studied figurative painting at the Art Institute of Chicago. Recently he has taken classes at the Hyde Park Art Center, including oil painting, portraits, independent study with Darrell Roberts. While at the Hyde Park Art Center, he participated in invitational student exhibit, displaying his cityscape painting of Botany Pond, and a figurative painting, Nude Male Torso. His cityscape painting, Gargoyle Overlooking Hull Court, was also displayed at at the University of Chicago Rockefeller Memorial Chapel’s invitational exhibit.

- His painting, Suzanne in Repose, received special recognition in the December figurative art exhibition at the Light Space &Time - Online Gallery.
