Artist Statement Photography was a hobby of mine when I was young. During my college years, photography also became therapeutic – helping to relieve my stress. I would find myself walking around parks and neighborhoods, even some not-so-safe ones, taking photos of whatever that caught my attention. From those walks, I would return home with a fresh mindset.

Until 2005, I was trying to capture as much as I possibly could with my point-and-shoot camera. I then realized that my camera was holding me back from broadening my skills. I started looking into the “pros” line of digital cameras. First, I bought the camera – then the lenses, the bag, the bigger memory cards, the tripod, more lenses, and so forth. Each new acquirement led to new adventures!

I have learned and experienced so much more than I could have imagined in the years since my college walks. I have gained studio, glamour, editorial, wedding and special event experience.
