Description This lighthouse marks the point farthest south on the South American continent, in the Beagle Channel close to Ushuaia, Argentina (technically there is a very small part of Chile that extends a bit further south). The Argentines call it Faro del Fin del Mundo, (Lighthouse At the End of the World).Jules Verne wrote a novel with the same title but that lighthouse is a bit further north closer to Tierra Del Fuego National Park.
