scarlet sea
way back in a far corner of my mind there is a staircase old and gothic the door chambering it firmly locked for at the bottom of these stairs there waits an ocean scarlet sea made up in equal measure of desire passion love all the elements spelling out surrender emotion i can no longer afford
it is a deep and tricksy pool in which i do not wish to drown and drown i would
in love i am a fool willingly opening veins to mingle with already bloody water and choking on it thick and salty as i sink into the murk that scums the bottom dense silt of sadness decomposed remains of bootleg love
i have forgotten how to float i have no tether to my pride i have no sense of preservation
i cannot burn this cursd staircase down thank god for locks here take the key i need it not you keep it for me just in case temptation calls for i am weak
without the key i shall be safe I have no coin with which to pay a locksmith i never want to walk those stairs again 2014 RC deWinter
