Located in Los Angeles, CA, the archive includes an extensive collection of films and artwork for the use of researchers, students, artists and the general public.
The collection isn't an archive OF animation... It's an archive FOR the use of artists working in the animation industry. In addition to animation artwork, the collection includes comic strips, comic books, print cartoons, illustration and educational materials. Animation Resource is dedicated to tell the history of cartooning through the stories of the artists who built the artform.
