Artist Statement I am married to Shirley,we have recently moved to Weisdale,the Westside of Shetland from Lerwick on the East side.I am a very keen photographer,and I always ensure I have my camera with me at all times.I take all sorts of images,and hopefully,one day,I will be recognised for my camera work.
I used to be a fisherman,and I skippered and owned my own very successful fishing trawler for over two years,and then went on to have another 4 boats under my command for other people,I am a very hard working individual,but now I am employed as a deckhand on a workboat.
I only really discovered that I enjoyed photography at Christmas,when my wife bought me a Nikon D50.Since then,there has been no stopping me.
I am just waiting for the day when I get my break as a recognised photographer.
