Description Tree with One Flower is an original acrylic painting on wood panel.Panel is 1' thick and 24' X 6'.The panel's edges are painted. There are holes on the edges for easy hanging.Will be varnished upon order to ensure longevity and shipped in a sturdy, professional box.Signed and dated.My work is inspired by the picture books and cartoons of my 1970's childhood, my love of animals and nature, vintage clothing, and modern design.

Artist Statement Hello. My name is Jennifer Christy and I have been painting since I was very young. My work is inspired by the picture books and cartoons of my 1970's childhood, my love of animals and nature, vintage clothing, and modern design.

I create most my work on recycled wood panels with thick, textured paint. I like it when the paint resembles icing. I think I was a cake decorator in a previous life.

I have a MFA from UT Dallas where I studied painting and aesthetics. I live in Texas with my really smart husband, one wild toddler, one adorable baby and two furry dogs. You will find me painting in the wee hours of the morning when all five of them are snoozing.
