Description This remote village in Sfakia, Crete was the location of a vendetta that resulted in it's eventual deseration and ruin. Wlking here the spiritual energy is overwhelming. Allover are crumbling edifices overgrown with the rich and sharp weeds and grasses that grow. Amoung this you can still find evidence of what was once daily routine, harvesting ladder, grain mills and ceramics are strewn torough the village.
Les MEYERS, Athens Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement I've been shooting professionaly for about 8 years. At first I was located in New York and shooting magazine and advertising material. Fate had other plans. I met my wife while she was studying in NY and we decided to move to Greece. Once there I continued my work as an advertising and editorial photographer and started to photograph the life and landscape of Greece. Much of this work has been feautured in the travel/documentary magazine, "Passport," and continues to be the focus of my personal work.
