DescriptionFew days ago I found this White-tailed Spider in my bathtub. These poisonous spiders are often found in the houses all over Australia and can cause ulcerating necrosis in the bitten area. But instead of killing it (or removing in other way) I run for my camera; the slick, white and smooth surface of the bath made for a perfect studio-like setting. The almost perfect white, light reflecting surface helped to bounce my flash for ideal lighting. It also meant that the spider couldn't escape- giving me enough time to take several photographs. This photo shows it biting it's nails- nasty habit :)http://arekphotography.blogspot.com/Canon EOS 7D with EF 100mm f2.8L macro ISTv 1/80secAv f/11ISO 100Converted form RAWCanon Speedlite 580EX-II (bounced)
