Artist Statement I enjoy visual arts of all kinds but have always found photography to be my real passion. I love the way it has the ability to transform "reality" into "fantasy" with the click of a shutter. To me a photograph has the ability to touch one's heart just as much as a beautiful song or striking painting.

Living in a rural area, I enjoy capturing that part of the US society . Unfortunately it's becoming more of a lost society as urban scrawl expands farther and farther. Some of my photos reflect that decay of a once thriving lifestyle. Occasionally I make a safari to a bigger city and take photos of the decay there as well, evidently I enjoy photographing decay in any environment.

I also do actually enjoy the less "gritty" side of life on occasion and love creating photos of nature with a soft romantic feel, be it a misty mountain morning or softly colored flower. The flip side( hmm, would that make me have 3 sides??) of my personality is portrayed by more abstract photos with vivid colors and unrealistic forms or focus

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my gallery here at Imagekind. Please visit my website at The Poetry Of Light (.net)
