Description I took this photo on Saturday 4-10-2010, at 1623 hours, as I was exiting Willow Springs Lake. (located 33 miles East of Payson) I used a Nikon D-700, 12Mp, D-SLR, with a Nikon 200-400mm F 4 lens at 200mm, F8, ISO 400, at 1/200 sec, VR on free handed. I shot it in 14 Bit RAW, opened in CS3 RAW, Recovery + 35, opened to a Tiff, Levels (25 / 1.00 / 255), Curves (out 85 / in 85), made an independent layer (Dodge) for the white trees, Saturated to + 17, and sharpened to 1.4 Highpass and saved in layers.
Ed Bonkowski, Mesa Member Since September 2008 Artist Statement The duality of my life is intimately expressed through my photography. As a nineteen year veteran in the State of Arizona, I create a balance through constant and vigilant service to the community with my photography. Seeing the world through my lens, creates a captivating display of natures most treasured gifts and the choices we all can make to view our lives and it’s surroundings in this beautiful, original way. My spiritual conviction is nurtured by recognizing, “life is but a fleeting moment and when I am able to capture just a little bit with my mind's eye through the lens of my camera; share it’s striking beauty with the world, I am truly doing my job as a human being.”
