Artist Statement Alla Gerzon is an oil painter that resides near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA with her husband, two young daughters and Goldendoodle pup. One of her biggest passions is salsa dancing and she has been studying art privately for over 10 years. She has been inspired by her time dancing salsa and uses salsa dancing as one of the main themes in her paintings. She works full time as an IT Business Analyst / Project Manager but makes the time to fuel her passion for creating art.

"I love movement and the figure. One of my biggest passions is salsa dancing and it is one of the major themes in my paintings. I love color and use bold, vibrant strokes to capture the feeling that dancing invokes in me. I have always been fascinated with the human form and my themes range from dance to nudes, romance, mother and child and Judaic art. As I paint, I use life experiences to inspire me, and my 'theme du jour' changes as my life progresses and my artwork evolves."
