Artist Statement Afshan A. Razzak, Educational Consultant, Text Book/ article writer, painter. I consider myself as a creative person with full of ideas and with wide variety of abilities. As an art lover, I have been exploring different avenues and diverse areas in order to express my creativity and myself through different projects. Since 1996, I have been engaged in academic work, I was the co-authored for text books of Arts, computer and native language, and "The Fun with Paper Bag" is most recent publication. First Urdu Thesaurus for children is in process and expected next year. Besides, my contribution in newspaper related to 'art education, its awareness and potential challenges' is also a regular feature. Linguistics and literature both are my passion too. These masters helped me to groom myself and also to understand and explore the world. I have done two Masters Degrees (M.A. in Linguistics and M.A. in Literature) from University of Karachi.Art has given me openness for appreciating the surrounding environment and has granted me a courage to express what I feel being in this environment. Thats why my specialty is doing work with low cost or recycling projects. My recent book entitled "The Fun with Paper Bag" is to encourage young ones to experience craft activities while working with low cost material. I have had the opportunity to work with different schools. At those locations, my responsibilities were to design and develop curriculum, academic coordinator and consultant and implemented at appropriate activities. I also participated and led many workshops, seminars and short- term courses for teachers and school improvement.
