Artist Statement I have always had a love for art. As a teenager I painted a number of pieces, mostly using acrylics, oil, airbrushing and spray painting. For whatever reason, I lost the desire to continue painting. Unfortunately over the years most of that earlier work has been lost, damaged beyond repair, and in some cases foolishly discarded.
In 2008, I was diagnosed with cancer. After 2 surgeries, and chemotherapy, I found inspiration to start painting again. At the same time I discovered and have become compassionate about digital painting.
My art is an expression of life's experiences; places I've seen(or hope to see), people who are(or have been) a part of my life, family and friends(even the non-human ones), and a slew of emotions(love, joy, anger, hate, fear, etc).
I'm grateful to be alive and able to produce and share my work with all of you. I look forward to your comments, critique, and hopefully praise. (I'd be honored by those that actually purchase any of my pieces...lol - shameless plug)
