A piece of Asian Art

Buddhist art originated as a form of religious art based around the principles of the Buddha. Pieces of art regarding Guatama Buddha, the humble beginner of the great religion, came into being around the 5th century BC. Once Buddhist art became popular in the Asian countries of China, Japan, and Korea, the artwork of those countries underwent certain changes. Iconic art was seen more, often in the form of statues of Buddha himself, and symbols were used more repeatedly, a phenomena that is highly prevalent within Asian art even today.

Through the use of sweeping, yet controlled brush strokes and vibrant colors, this art compliments many lifestyles and with rich religious connotations, aided by the use of carefully perfected symbols and Asian characters; most Asian art is enough to create a meditative atmosphere for any art lover.
