Artist Statement I am Dine' of the EDGE WATER people, born for the MANY GOATS people. My maternal grandfather's clan is MEXICAN PEOPLE. My paternal grandfather's clan is BITTER WATER people. (Navajo introduction)

My parents are Maybelle and Jackie June Sr. My maternal grandparents are Glenabah and Fancis Begay of Steamboat, Az. My paternal grandparents are Mable and Adolph June Sr, both of Kabieto, Az.

I am originally from the Navajo Nation, and currently reside in GILBERT,AZ. I spent my Elementary School years near, Tseyi', Canyon De Chelly (a beautiful place & great place to hike!), my Jr High School years in Scottsdale, AZ, and my High School years EVERYWHERE in Arizona (Paradise Valley, Chinle,Window Rock, Ganado & Mesa).

My family and I have been living in Mesa for 21 YEARS! I have 2 daughters and one son (beautiful people inside & out)! We have one dog name "Brat", a very lucky dog, who we adopted on Nov 06.

I earned a Masters Degree in Administration, with an Emphasis on Leadership, through Northern Arizona University (NAU). I have a NAU Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. I also earned two Associates of Applied Science degree, one in Hotel Management and the other in Restaurant Management at Scottsdale Community College (SCC). I am currently looking @ several colleges- ASU, University of Washington, and Cornell University- for my PHD. I hope to start my PHD program in 2011. Right now, I am enjoying ART 111 @ MCC Redmountain; its been a goal.

I am affiliated with the NAU Alumni, SCC Alumni, Casino AZ, and the National Society Of Minorities In Hospitality.

I keep myself busy with family, work, and art. I would love to find more time to sew, create more cake masterpieces, spend more time outdoors (in the mountains) and to take more pictures. Photography is another interest I have. I plan to take more art classes @ a local community college.

I love everything about Mesa...location, weather, etc. This is where I met Gary. We have been together for 11 years as of Oct 4, 2010! We are total opposites, but have tons of things in common. We plan to experience life in other cities, such as Seattle, Colorado and then build a home near Kabeito, Az. It will be hard to leave Phx's perfect winter weather!
