Artist Statement My first camera was a box camera I bought with my own money ($3) at age 10. It was years later that I bought my first "serious" camera, a 35mm Pentax SLR. I have now studied photography as an MFA student at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY: B&W film photography, darkroom practices, Alternative Methods, photo history, photo criticism, large-format, and pinhole photography.

Since completing my education, I have incorporated medium-format and digital photography into my photographic work. I have exhibited my photography in one-person shows in Connecticut and New York City and I currently teach Alternative Methods photography in adult education and high school settings.

I am also a printmaker and have had commissions and commerce doing pen and ink drawings, so that work will be forthcoming here.
