Artist Statement When I was 7, I was diagnosed with Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease, and was told I needed a steel implant
in my hip or I'd never walk again. Thankfully, my parents sought a second opinion from the doctors at
Children's Hospital Boston (www.childrenshospital.org).

For several years my family made the 3-hour trek to Boston so that I could receive treatment. Thanks to the
excellent care I received, I never needed that implant… and as a result, these legs have taken me on some
amazing journeys.

These photographs are my way of giving back to Children's Hospital Boston. I don't see a dime; all proceeds
are donated via Child's Play (childsplaycharity.org) directly to the hospital.

I hope you enjoy these images. Please check back – I will update this periodically with new material.
