Artist Statement --- When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence - Ansel Adams ---
I discovered photography when I was 14 years old and borrowing my Dad's Pentax 35mm. The first few rolls were terrible, but I couldn't stop. I loved it and looked at everything around me through new eyes... through the eyes of the spirit, for it was God who gave me this gift of sight. Through the years, photography has often been my only friend, always making me look inside myself with each image. It's been many years since that first frame, and I still love it... I still look at everything around me and I still find awe and wonder in the little things. I shoot only digital now, but, for me, it is still a Pentax. I am an avowed Pentaxian. For the past several months, I have been selling greeting cards at Greeting Card Universe - www.gcuniverse.com/throughtheeyesofthespirit - and find that this is a wonderful way to share God's love.

I am married, have a beautiful 17 year old daughter and two nieces. I live in Virginia near my parents and help them run their farm. We're always looking for bean pickers, so if you're in the neighborhood...

I have worked as a Nurse for 20 years and find that it is very rewarding. As long as there are people in need, there will be a need for people like me.

I hope you find just what you were looking for in my gallery. If you have any questions about any of the photographs or just want to talk, feel free to email me. I'm happy to speak with you. God bless you and have a wonderful day.
