Artist Statement I became a professional artist in 2008 to meet demand for my work. Working from my studio in Oxfordshire in the UK.

I began painting again after a long absence, focusing on a series of work entitled ' Landscapes of the Mind'. This collection of paintings were inspired by a combination of fading memories, and dreams, references from my past.

I grew up in a dying milltown in east Lancashire, which consisted of rows and rows of back to back terraces, redundant textile mills, and factories all crammed in together in a chaotic fashion, but it was surrounded by luminous countryside which I would escape to. The landscape paintings in this series tend to be fragmented, contrasting and blurring the references to reflect my feelings about them.

I have recently branched out into figurative painting. Part of this group consists of work in my 'Mad Cat Woman' series, featuring me and my cats, in various domestic settings.

I have exhibited all over the UK, and most of my work has been acquired I by private collectors not only in the UK but in America, Europe, and Asia .
