Artist Statement I have been creating "art" for as long as I can remember - from crayons and coloring book as a child to digital art as an adult child. I have wandered through the many faces of art: acrylic paintings, abstract stained glass, realistic animal pencil drawings, collage, mosaic, yupo. You name it, I've probably tried it. I can't just sit quietly and read a book like other people. I've got to be creating.

I have been exhibited in galleries, market my images through major internet art retailers, and do commissions in art and stained glass. I have won art competitions in acrylics, collage and stained glass, and enjoy being around other artists, but I have to tell you that the potential of digital graphics is staggering. I believe that some day it will truly be accepted as "art". These images take as much time as most other media, but because they can be easily reproduced, there is the common perception that graphic art is not real art. I disagree.

While my youngest son is convinced that my "hard drive" is filled up because I'm so old, I'm still finding new ways to make my computer produce art. In fact, I can't get enough. Find me a new digital technique, and you won't see me for days.

I am currently located in Fredericksburg, VA, in the Washington DC suburbs, but the beauty of living in the virtual environment is that you can move and still have a business (as long as you don't drop your data storage thingies).

SO, I have decided to share some of my favorites.
