Artist Statement Jon Sheppard has traveled much of his exciting life. His father was a U.S. Navy Officer and travel was a real adventure. Jon has taught sky diving, and SCUBA diving in the West Indies. He has jumped out of many high flying airplanes. His highest jump was from 20,000 feet. He has also taught rock climbing and whitewater kayaking. He was a whitewater river guide for 13 years. On the more civil side Jon spent twenty years in Nashville where he was into the music industry and was a TV cameraman. He now makes the Colorado high country his home and has climbed many 14,000' mountains. Jon has spent time in Russia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand. He enjoys meeting others and sharing his adventure/photo skills with people and he loves to hear about other peoples lifestyles and where they are from and all.
