Artist Statement Art is not imposing creativity on a world already overflowing with beauty and color, but chiming the tone of your soul and finding resonance in those touched by the sound.

Karen is caught in the tug-of-war between idealism and reality. Art helps resolve the tension and permit life to proceed forward with some semblance of order. As a poet and artist, Karen has chosen to open empty hands to see what pours through them. Within this place of transparency you will see her failings and oddities. However, she hopes you will catch a glimpse of how God through her faith in Jesus, consumes even her sin and mistakes to fuel the illustration of His grace.
