Artist Statement Jason Dillon is an oil painter that lives in sleepy Largo, FL. His medium is that of the palette knife and broad, bold brush strokes. Lucky enough to live in Florida looking for inspiration is never very hard, there are so many beautiful surroundings. Whether it is the beach, the everglades or a park that proudly displays it's water oaks draped with spanish moss. Florida is one of the most beautiful places on earth. What Jason tries to do with his paintings is capture that beauty with an edgy twist. Inspired largely by the works of A. E. Backus and the Florida Highwaymen. Jason is using traditional techniques for creation and the new age of technology to bring his paintings to art lovers everywhere.
