Description Acrylic painting of Great Blue Heron with their young high in a nest in a tree. The Parent supports their child, encouraging them to fly to 'Go on Alone' to 'Fear Not the Loving, All this World is Your Own, Make rich the soil but once the seed is sown, seek freedom, don't linger Go on Alone!' The parent Heron in this painting symbolizes the guru, someone who loves us more than we can imagine, who believes in us more than anyone else. Someone who lovingly makes us 'fly' even when it seems uncomfortable and even dangerous, because we feel that we are not ready, to fly out of the nest. They push us to make a leap of faith and in doing so, they tell us we just might find, instead of falling down we find our selves rising up in joy and freedom. This painting was inspired by a song by Swami Kriyananda, 'Go on Alone.'
