Description This painting represents creativity and natures bounty. The human hand can be seen behind Tara, reaching into the world to offer its creations and receive abundance in return. This is the moment of birth, the moment the cocoon opens to release what is ready to go out into the world. Green Tara also represents wise compassion. Animals: Jackrabbit, Cockatoo, Raven, Swan, Lion, Turtle Strange fact: The first thing I painted on the canvas was an opening cocoon, which is now hidden beneath the rest of the painting. The cocoon appeared in the base coat of ochre; it was not painted consciously
