Description How does one create an image of the Spirit of God? It seems like an imposable task, Yet artists keep trying to do so, myself included. Here, I have chosen to go with an abstract image of a rainbow-like fire symbolic of the inner presence of God in each of us. 'Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your people. Kindle in us the fire of your love!' (a traditional Catholic prayer)
Clarence Jones, Seattle WA. Member Since July 2007 Artist Statement Hi, I'm Clarence Jones, but folks tend to simply call me Father C. As you might be able to guess, I am a Catholic priest. Currently I am involved in Parish Ministry here in Seattle Washington. Like most people I've hit a few bumps in the road of life. But overall I would have to say I'm one happy fellow these days. I share my home with a brother priest and two fine dogs. They really bring a lot of joy into our lives. I'm a big fan of all the creative arts. Besides creating "My Little Drawings" I enjoy singing and playing guitar, and I've been know to write a song or two - Church stuff mainly. My art is an inner expression of all the things that are important to me - my faith, my love of God, my quest for peace and justice in my life and the world around me, my dogs, my delight in all things silly. In time you'll find them all reflected in the images you'll find here. Peace and God bless you! Father C.
