Artist Statement I live in beautiful French Quebec City, I am bilingual, mostly french but I manage to speak and write english fairly good. At the age of 16, I started my art life going to Art school , I had 2 years of Beaux- Art tuition but I decided that the modern contempory approach of Art at this time period ( 1968-69) was not what I prefered... I was more of a figurative painter and I started self-taught and took private lessons with a few professional painters and continued to enjoy Art the way I wanted, meanwhile I have worked as an Air Canada flight attendant, got married and raised 2 children, so I did not have too much time left to devote to Art. In 1990 my former husband who was an airline pilot moved to France with the whole family. Toulouse was a very cultural city where I got art lessons with the Ecole supérieure des beaux-arts de Toulouse, I visited many museum and Art galleries in different regions of France, participated in art exhibitions where I obtained the first Prix du salon in Montberon for my pastel work. In 1995 we moved to Mauritius Island where I could exhibit my pastels at the Helene de Seneville galleries 'til 2000. I am now back to Canada where I continue working on my portraits of stars in pastel, and other watercolor, inks and oil painting and participate in many Art Symposiums yearly.
