Artist Statement I am a student and photographer from the sunshine coast in Australia. From the moment i was able to pick up a pencil i have had a leaning towards varied art forms, but only in the last few years have I discovered a love for photography. Recently I have embarked on a trip across Europe, where I captured my most recent photographs. I find myself spanning across the entire photography spectrum - I love architectural subjects; bold lines and angles appeal to me, particularly when captured in black and white. Landscapes are another strong interest of mine, particularly those of the french and Irish countryside. Its when i have my face pressed up to the viewfinder, walking around and watching objects move in and out of the frame, that i am happiest. It's knowing that i can capture and freeze a perfect feeling or mood at my whim. Knowing that, whatever it was that caught my ready eye, is preserved and alive and able to be revisited and shared and enjoyed as more than merely a memory.
