Artist Statement Diane Stafford is a mainly self-taught artist with a background in pastel drawing and painting, acrylic painting and clay sculpture. Through her work as a website developer she has embraced the digital age and expanded her skills to merge painting and photography in the digital medium.

The photographic image is transformed with painterly manipulation to create textures and effects and combined with her art work to bridge the unique properties of photography and painting, a process she refers to as the painted photo montage.

Most, if not all, of the inspiring photographs in Diane’s art works are lovingly provided with exclusive copyright usage by her talented US based photographer cousin, Timothy Huggett.

Diane professionally divides her time between fine art, website design and working, in the real world, with older people. Diane lives with her creative family in a quiet backwater of Chester, Cheshire.
