Artist Statement I am a full-time student and full-time worker. Recently divorced, I have decided it was time to connect with myself. Fortunately, I have been afforded some opportunities to travel since, a dream turned reality. With traveling, I discovered how much I also enjoy photography. My biggest appreciation is that taking pictures forces me to stop and really see my surroundings for what they are. I have viewed landscapes, people, and plants from angles and perspectives I would have never thought had I not had a camera strapped to me. I have paid attention to details that everyone before and after me simply walked by, and then when reviewing my pictures wondering how they could have missed something so unique.






Recently, I became a proud owner of a Nikon D300, thanks to my wonderful boyfriend. I had dreams of owning something with such grandeur, and now it is up to me to become more savvy with the equipment and techniques.






I know my pictures could use improvement, so please feel free to share helpful (not harmful) hints, as I deeply value the feedback. I hope you enjoy and I will work on posting more photographs in the near future.
