Artist Statement Magician, performer and visual artist, Dragan’s projects have included everything from puppet shows in refugee camps to processions of giant sculptures in carnivals, through video-making and exhibitions. He taught art at Oxford Brookes University, UK, and through his children’s charity (funforlife.org.uk) continues to share his passion for joyful creativity with thousands of people all over the world. His photographic work offers an unusually profound perception of life’s beauty.

The current series of “Water Jewels”, photographed in his native Croatia, might be considered as meditation pieces: the longer you look at them, the deeper and more tranquil they become. People often ask whether the images have been ‘photo-shopped’, but they are in fact virgin shots. As Dragan says, “It’s all about looking with a happy eye.”
