Description A trabocco (also known as trabucco) is a sustainable fishing machines that resemble giant beached prawns sitting on the rocks with giant tendrils casting wide nets out into the deeper reaches of the sea. These kind of machines are spread along the Adriatic coast, in the Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia Italian regions. This one is located in Termoli, a small town in the Molise region.
Stefano Mattia, Rome Member Since August 2011 Artist Statement Stefano Mattia was born in Switzerland, grew up in a small town on the Adriatic coastline and now lives and works in Rome, Italy. Some years ago he developed a passion for photography and from that moment on he started to carry his camera everywhere. He gradually fell in love for black and white film photography which he now considers as an extension of his imagination. His main subjects are common people, streets, landscapes, emotions.
